To get a quote you upload your part files, set your order requirements, and send the request. Within about 24 hours you get multiple quotes from vetted manufacturers, each reviewed by a person at Jiga.
The four steps
- Upload Files. Add a part for every item you want quoted. Upload your CAD part files, or add an off-the-shelf line item for standard parts. You can also attach supporting documents here.
- Configure Parts. Review what you uploaded and set each part up: quantity, and process and material where shown.
- Order Requirements. Set what applies to the whole order:
- Supplier location: Anywhere, USA, North America, Asia, Southeast Asia and India, or a specific country. If your account is ITAR-enabled, this is USA only.
- Production speed: Standard, Expedite (enter your target lead time in days), or a Specific date.
- Target price: choose No, or Yes and enter your target order price.
- Certifications and additional requirements: select what you need, such as Assembly, CoC, FAI, CMM, etc.
- Shipping. Choose how your parts ship and add delivery details:
- Standard (DAP, Delivered at Place): you handle import duties.
- All inclusive (DDP, Delivered Duty Paid): duties are handled for you. (Shown when your delivery country is the United States or Israel).
- My account: ship on your own carrier account.
Select a saved address, or enter your country, postal code, and phone number. Then send.
What happens next
Your request goes to multiple vetted manufacturers, and quotes usually come back within 24 hours. When quotes arrive, you can message the manufacturers directly with questions, with no commitment, then compare and place your order. See Understanding and comparing quotes.
FAQ
Does requesting a quote cost anything?
No. It is free. You pay only when you place an order, and you pay the quoted price.
How many quotes will I get?
You get multiple quotes, usually within 24 hours, each reviewed by a person at Jiga.
Can I quote standard, off-the-shelf parts too?
Yes. Add an off-the-shelf line item in the Upload Files step, by part number or BOM.
Can I set a target price?
Yes. In Order Requirements, choose Yes and enter your target order price.
What about export-controlled parts?
If your account is ITAR-enabled, suppliers are US-only and ITAR appears in your requirements. If your account is not set up for it and you try to upload export-controlled files, you will see a warning. Contact your account manager to set up EAR or ITAR before uploading those files.
